Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanics (AMO)
Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for an Aircraft Maintenance Technician- Licensed with experience in Dash 8 / Q 400 / Twin Otter / CL to join our team in Calgary, AB. This role is responsible for checking and maintaining the condition of aircraft and engine, makes repairs, replacements and adjustments, in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.Duties & ResponsibilitiesQualified to perform systems installationResponsible to the assigned leader and have ability to take direction verbally and through printed mediaKnowledge of Standard Practices and Mechanics Systems, accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, engineering orders, test documents, manufacturer’s installation manualsHave an understanding of other aircraft systems i.e., hydraulic, flight controls and major componentsInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanics systems and equipment, including powerplant, flight control, hydraulic, landing gear and electricalPerform system checks and inspections to ensure Mechanics systems are in compliance with industry and safety standardsKeep accurate records of all work performed and maintain inventory of tools and equipmentMaintain a clean work area and alert the leadership team of any safety concerns; take immediate action or report immediately any unsafe conditionsResponsible for ensuring both accuracy and traceability of parts removed or installed on AircraftPerform other work as assigned and willing to work shift workProperly utilize maintenance test equipment to perform systems tests. Properly utilize and maintain mechanics hand tools to perform installations and repairsSafely operate ground support equipment, i.e., power carts, lifts (when properly trained), etc. as required Education & Experience3- 5+ years’ experience working on the Dash 8, Twin Otter, or CLShall hold current AME “M” Transport Canada licenseAircraft type rating would be an assetAbility to hold an ACA would be an asset Positive attitude and strong work ethicDemonstrated organizational skills and attention to detailAble to work effectively independently and as part of a teamBasic computer skills and familiarity with InternetGood oral and written communication skills Physical RequirementsAbility to work Monday – Friday 0600-1430Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.Ability to acquire a Transport Canada issued Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
