  • Plan, administer, budget, and report on assigned Modification or Heavy Maintenance lines, supporting avionics, fuel, composite, and paint.
  • Ensure work is performed safely, within budget, in regulatory compliance, and meeting customer and company guidelines.
  • Perform and recommend management actions related to hiring, scheduling, employee development, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Act as the liaison between STS and the customer.
  • Execute any additional duties delegated by the Director of Maintenance and Operations (DOM) or VP of Operations.
Educational Background / Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Airframe or Powerplant License required.
  • 5 years of experience in aircraft heavy maintenance or modification.
  • 5 years of supervisory or lead experience in heavy maintenance or modifications.
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations pertaining to FAR Part 145 repair station operations.
General Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, database software such as AvPro, and other web-based applications.
Preferred Skills:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related technical field.
  • Project Management certification.
  • Two years of previous project management experience at a FAR 145 repair station.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Principles).
Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven planning and organizational skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, structural, and avionics systems.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
