Aircraft Maintenance Technician

GMX is actively seeking a highly motivated, customer orientated Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our growing team focused on safety, service, and operations. 

*2 openings available! 1st and 2nd shift! 2nd shift hours are 2:00pm-11:30pm*

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

• Ensures operation of aircraft by completing maintenance requirements following manufacturer's 
  instructions and industry best practices.
• Understands and interprets manufacturers schematics, wiring diagrams, instructions for continued 
  airworthiness and FAA Airworthiness Directives.
• Understands and complies with CAMP reporting requirements and checklists.
• Maintains the stability and reputation of the company by understanding and complying with Federal 
  Aviation Administration and other legal requirements.
• Perform such typical maintenance operations as the removal and replacement of aircraft and powerplant components that require bolting, torquing, adjusting, rigging, and safety wiring to include powerplant, and flight control removal/installation.
• Troubleshoot, repair, clean, service, inspect, modify, replace, and/or overhaul aircraft and aircraft 
  systems using approved/acceptable data to ensure airworthiness.
• Follow all applicable instructions for Continued Airworthiness without exception to accomplish a specific task.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform work with efficiency to minimize time required to perform the task.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Structure experience preferred
• NDT Eddy Current Level I or II preferred
• Factory training preferred
• High school education or equivalent
• A&P License or ability to hold Repairman's Certificate is required
