Basic Qualifications
- Relevant hands-on experience gaining the necessary skills with thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components to perform the job successfully.
- High School diploma or General Education Diploma, GED, or technical school certificate.
- Thorough knowledge of current FAA regulations, IPM, and ATA codes
- Familiar with Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations
- Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) in a timely manner.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Must be able to maintain ability to access worksite location to include various military installations and airports to meet customer operational requirements.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
- Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on 737 airframes is highly preferred.
- Prior military experience in aviation preferred.
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant License Preferred
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer to include weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
- Must be capable of regularly lifting, moving, pulling, and pushing objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Typical outdoor and industrial/hangar environments. Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.).
- Outside work in winter, summer, rain, sleet, and snow and on uneven terrain – side hills and slopes.
- Must be able to lift and carry parts, tooling, and other awkward items sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs, including walking up and down stairs, aircraft maintenance stands, and platforms
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- While performing the duties of this job, employees are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and loud noise levels both inside and outside the hangar.
Compensation and Benefits:
