As an aircraft mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safety of lighter aircraft fleets. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to navigate complex manuals to find necessary information.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on M1 aircraft, including Turbo Commanders and Grand Caravans.
- Conduct thorough checks, including 1500/2000 labor checks.
- Utilize and interpret aircraft manuals effectively.
- Work on heavy maintenance of helicopters and light aircraft.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure aircraft safety and functionality.
- Engage in line maintenance as needed.
Essential Skills- Possess an M1 license with over 5 years of licensed experience.
- Experience with TC 690 and Garrett 331 engine, PT 6.
- Familiarity with modern lighter aircraft, including TVM and Turbo Commander.
- Proficient in reading and understanding aircraft manuals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with Q400, repair, electrical, and avionics repair.
- Experience in North regions like Yukon and NW Territories is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.

Work Environment
You will be part of a team consisting of 18 people, working closely with the team lead or lead hand to ensure aircraft functionality. The team leads rotate, providing a dynamic work environment. You will need to bring basic tooling with you. The position is a day shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime and occasional 10-hour shifts, especially for contractors.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
