Q - What sheet metal air tools have you used? (Drills, Rivet Guns, Die Grinders)
Q - What sheet metal hand tools have you used? (files, pliers, 6” and 12” scales, dividers, scribes)
Q - What fasteners have you worked with? (Solid rivets, Hi-Loks, Cherry Max blind rivets, Cherry Locks, Jo-Bolts, Composi-Lock, Visu-Lock, Hi-Lok)
Q - What do your aviation related tools weigh? (estimate).

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is for an Aircraft Structures Technician in Bloomfield, CT.

Our FAA/EASA certificated repair facility services a wide range of aircraft airframe components used in business and regional aircraft.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Assesses maintenance/repair requirements for airframe components and assemblies using technical manuals, service bulletins, and other approved data.
Provides technical information to engineers for the development of repairs outside of approved data scope when required.
Performs approved repair operations to structures including sheet metal and other structures.
Overhauls mechanical assemblies including repairs and part replacements.
Documents maintenance/repair actions per company and FAA requirements.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience with aircraft structures.
Mentoring or a prior lead role is a plus.
Must own and be skilled in the use of structures and hand tools related to the responsibilities described above.
Must be well versed in the use of production and repair-related prints/drawings.
Ability to read precision measuring tools and instruments.
Working knowledge of FAA regulations, their interpretation, and application.
Intermediate level computer skills including basic use of MS Outlook (or other e-mail application), Word, and Excel preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate technical subject matter both orally and in writing.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
FAA Airframe certification would be a plus
