Description:
This position is working with a back-shop Part 145 MRO Aviation Facility which specializes in repairing aircraft components for various clients across the United States, but primarily for the DoD & Military. The Sheet Metal Technician plays a key role in repairing, refurnishing, and fabricating airplane parts. T e ideal candidate for this position must have extensive experience riveting on sheet metal, be familiar with countersinking, blind riveting, and common rivet fasteners, mechanically inclined, experience fabricating sheet metal, comfortable working with hand and power tools, and brings a positive attitude every day!
**PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT ON-AIRCRAFT work, this is a back-shop environment where you may repair part of a wing or fabricate a new part for landing gear etc.**
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for completing work orders and performing general repairs under the direct supervision of a lead tech.
- Technicians are not working on the Aircraft instead you will be working on repairing, refurnishing, and fabricating parts such as landing gear, doors, etc.
- Complete work orders in designated times
- Work with hand and power tools
- Utilize fab equipment to measure, cut, and bend sheet metal
- Use PNEUMATIC tools, rivets, and various fasteners
- Countersink, Blind Rivets, Cherry-Max, Huck Bolt, etc.

MUST Have Qualifications:
- Riveting Experience REQUIRED
- Knowledge of Blind Rivets, Countersinking, etc.
- Fabrication Experience REQUIRED
- Measuring, Cutting, Bending Sheet Metal
- Previous Sheet Metal Experience REQUIRED
- Previous Mechanical experience
- Work well within a team and contribute to team/company culture
- Willingness to constantly learn new skills
Nice-to-Have Skills/Qualifications:
- A&P certification (not required)
- Experience with Aircraft Grade Sheet Metal
- Ability to troubleshoot for repairs
- Mechanical aptitude form manufacturing/automotive experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
