JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic III

Summary:
Perform safe assembly and fitting of structural detail parts using drilling, riveting, and sheet metal fabrication techniques
Operate tools such as pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet guns, reamers, and related equipment
Remove and install fasteners without damaging aircraft structures
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine proper sequence of work
Ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection
Assist team members by interpreting drawings, engineering orders, and installation instructions
Develop shop aids and methods to resolve production challenges
Maintain production documentation including MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, and PCOs
Assemble structural components using jigs, fixtures, pins, clamps, and precision tooling
Perform rework and repairs based on DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs to ensure conformity
Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with 5S, Lean, and safety programs
Use required personal protective equipment
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Properly maintain and return company tools and equipment
Follow SOPs when operating ground support equipment
Safely dispose of hazardous materials including fuels, oils, and solvents
Maintain accurate aircraft job charging records
Support shift turnover communication and coordination
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
4 years of structural assembly experience
Basic computer and shop math skills
Ability to read and understand technical documents and use measurement scales
Skilled in close-tolerance structural work and use of specialty tools
Experience working with composite materials preferred
Ability to work any shift
Ability to climb ladders and stands, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs
Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred
Q-Stamp certification preferred
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
