Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Structural Technician to assist in the rebuilding of a CL 215T aircraft. This role involves rebuilding panes, brackets, skins, doublers, and retrofitting pieces. The technician will work to reverse modifications and restore the aircraft to its original state, identifying and reporting any damage encountered during the process.

Responsibilities

  • Rebuild panes, brackets, skins, and doublers on the CL 215T aircraft.
  • Retrofit and rebuild the aircraft structure to its original specifications.
  • Identify and report any damage found during the rebuild process.
  • Work with avionics and structural components to ensure proper reassembly.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in Aircraft Structures (licensed) or 10+ years (unlicensed).
  • Proficiency in aircraft sheet metal work, riveting, and aviation assembly.
  • Experience in aircraft manufacturing and assembly.
  • Knowledge of human factors and fall arrest procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft plans.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with CL215 (radial or turbine) or CL415 aircraft.
  • Experience in damage reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

The role is located at the Shell Aerocentre in Abbotsford, with accommodation provided next door at the Sandman. The shift schedule is not yet solidified, but candidates should expect to work Monday through Saturday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the potential for 12-hour days. The team will consist of about 8 people, including 4 from DHC and additional contractors.
