Aerotek, on behalf of our client is seeking Aircraft Structural Technicians for a family owned and operated company that performs a wide variety of maintenance, repairs, and modifications to Aircraft Structural Components for military and civilian customers alike. Pay is $30-38/hr DOE. Offer is contingent on passing a written, verbal and structures test. Day shift M-F 6am-2:30pm.

As an Aircraft Structural Technician, you will be responsible for completing work orders and performing general repairs under the direct supervision of a lead technician. This role involves working on a bench to repair, modify, refurbish, and fabricate sheet metal structural assemblies and sub-assemblies. You will be working with a variety of fasteners, riveting, bending, countersinking, and precision drilling. Examples of structural components you will work on include landing gear doors, ailerons, flaps, and more.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and perform general repairs under direct supervision.
• Repair, modify, refurbish, and fabricate sheet metal structural assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Work with a variety of fasteners, riveting, bending, countersinking, and precision drilling.
• Handle structural components such as landing gear doors, ailerons, flaps, etc.

• Experience as a structural mechanic.
• Proficiency in aircraft sheet metal repair and modification.
• Attention to detail and care for quality.
• Knowledge of blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to work with various fasteners, riveting, bending, countersinking, and precision drilling.
• Experience in aviation, airframe, and aircraft modification.

• Experience reading blueprints and schematics.
• Basic mechanical skills and aptitude or previous training with sheet metal.
• Open to candidates right out of A&P school or from other industries with sheet metal precision drilling and riveting experience.

Work Environment

You will be working in a nice, large, climate-controlled backshop with a total of 40 employees where everyone knows everyone. The company has a great culture. The shift is Monday to Friday, from 6am to 2:30pm. Overtime is available but not promised or required.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00
