Summary:
Perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with limited supervision
Communicate effectively to receive and execute assigned work tasks
Coordinate with Mechanical Team Lead (MTL), Structural Team Lead (STM), and Inspection departments to ensure compliance with FAA and internal documentation requirements
Complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and maintenance documentation accurately and on time
Ensure all work meets established quality standards and specifications
Identify, tag, and safely store customer property and aircraft components
Operate ground support equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (power carts, hydraulic equipment, tow tugs, gas cylinders, etc.)
Coordinate aircraft movement within hangar and ramp areas
Provide technical training and guidance to less experienced technicians
Properly dispose of hazardous materials such as fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent waste
Support 6S and Lean manufacturing and maintenance initiatives
Maintain and return company tools and equipment after use
Follow all safety regulations and report unsafe conditions
Use material tracking systems to manage parts demand, labor charging, and maintenance sign-offs
Support aircraft certification activities and flight testing as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Protect customer property and maintain accountability of equipment
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required
2 years of aviation maintenance experience OR 4 years of aviation maintenance experience, including 2 years working on mid- to large-size aircraft
Valid Drivers License required
Working knowledge of FAA regulations, repair station procedures, quality control manuals, and company policies
Familiarity with maintenance process specifications and certification standards
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
