Position Responsibilities
* Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations. Basic Qualifications(Required Skills/Experience)
*High School Diploma or GED
*Minimum of 7 years of aviation experience required
*Minimum of 1 year experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
*Ability to identify common tools
*Ability to perform Bond and ground measurements
*Ability to perform in-tank sealing in fuel tank and other structure work
*Ability to perform wash of the fuel tank
*Ability to work in confined spaces.
*Ability to qualify and use a respirator.
*Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
*Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
*Proficiency with typical hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, etc.) Use of high-impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
*Wing Flap and Slat hanging and rigging experience
*Experience in Seal
*Wing & engine pylon Hydraulic experience
*Experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications
*Computer literacy Job Duties
*Must have the ability to complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
*Use a computer in a production environment.
*Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and/or specifications.
*Apply sealant to the surface per specifications.
*Install various aircraft system components such as panel installs.
*Appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task you are performing.
*Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).
*Various tools such as Rivet gun and bucking bar, screwdrivers, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, Winslow, 90-Degree Power Vane, or Quackenbush and various other hand tools.
*Chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes
*Inspect your work quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
*Use of high-impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
*Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling, Crouching (squatting),
*Working around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise.
*Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).
*Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings, or documents.
*Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation.
*Work in confined space and respirator usage.
*Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds.
*Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, Twisting at the waist, and walking.
