Job Title: Assembly Quality Coordinator
Job DescriptionThe role involves coordinating quality activities with a focus on assembly inspections, root cause-corrective actions (RCCA), First Article Inspections (FAIs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and supplier issues. You will work in a cross-functional environment to ensure quality standards and internal customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily assembly inspections to ensure products meet type design standards.
- Facilitate communication and feedback between incoming and downstream internal customers.
- Coordinate containment of stock and work-in-progress through quality investigations.
- Attend Quality Review Board (QRB) meetings to support Quality Engineers (QEs) and internal issues.
- Provide real-time shop floor support for quality-based investigations and resolutions.
- Collaborate with QEs on customer returns, RMA processes, and document quality aspects of RCCA.
- Create Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and other quality documentation as required.
- Identify and address any known or potential problems.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in First Article Inspections (FAIs).
- Understanding of electrical bonding.
- Knowledge of sealant application.
- Familiarity with torque specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Capability to ascertain part compliance with print measurements.
- Decision-making skills.
- Experience with MRP systems.
- Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9102 standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One to two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three to five years of experience in precision sheet metal or assembly shop environment.
- Experience with machined parts inspection, Net Inspect, CMM, and Faro Arm.

Work Environment
The position is based in a manufacturing environment. The role may require lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, and specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
