Boeing Airframe Structures Mechanic – VC-25B Program
Location: San Antonio, TX
Job Description:
Boeing is seeking experienced Structures Mechanics to support the VC-25B Program. Candidates will maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures, including critical components such as seat tracks, doublers, stringers, and planks. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing close tolerance drilling, reaming, and installation of structural components.
- Sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving aircraft structures.
- Reading and interpreting technical documentation to execute modifications and repairs.
- Using specialized tools like torque wrenches, micrometers, and sheet metal brakes.
- Operating forklifts, cranes, and electric powered elevating equipment.
- Guiding lower-level technicians and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Work may involve shifts and overtime to meet mission requirements.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- 4+ years of on-aircraft heavy structures experience.
- Proficiency with close tolerance drilling, reaming, and structural modifications.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs, work in confined spaces, and use personal protective gear.
Preferred:
- Experience with VIP aircraft or specialty interior installations.
- FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant certification.
Compensation:
- $35/hr (without A&P license), $40/hr (with A&P license).
- Per diem: $600/week (for eligible candidates).
- Assignment completion bonus of $10,000 (contingent on training, security clearance, and 12-month program duration).
