Reports To: Component Shop Supervisor and Director of Maintenance

Helimax Aviation, Inc. is seeking a Component Shop Mechanic to join the team.  The successful candidate will disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and assemble aircraft drive, rotor, hydraulic and accessory CH-47D components.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with ordering aircraft parts, track parts orders, materials inventory, and communicate needs of items required to maintain aircraft components.
• Responsible for the repair of support equipment, tooling, and communicating needs and deficiencies. Ensure only currently calibrated tooling is used.
• Maintain good housekeeping of the maintenance facility to include reporting deficiencies as needed.
• Responsible for using required current Maintenance manuals, Company manuals, and other Technical Data that is current and up to date for component maintenance.
• Ensure hand tools, specialty tools and equipment are being used correctly for the job’s tasks at hand.
• Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) primary and collateral duty inspectors as required to meet task objectives.
• Must be familiar with the proper completion of Repair Station Work Orders.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment and hand tools as needed for assigned tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Familiar with applicable FAA Regulations, preferred.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant certification, preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must have good attention to detail.
• Required to stay current with all mandatory company assigned reading and
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to drive company vehicles.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills and MS
• Experience in component overhaul, preferred.
• Frequently lift or move aircraft parts to assemble aircraft, up to 50 lbs.
• May be required to travel, if needed or on occasions, as required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Generous benefit package.  The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00 per hour.
