As a Licensed A&P Mechanic, specializing on Embraer corporate aircraft, you will be responsible for performing routine and heavy maintenance as well as major inspections on Legacy, Praetor, and Phenom airframes. Your technical skills will be critical in troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying various aircraft components, ensuring safety, quality, and performance. Work along side our other teams of expert mechanics and technicians, specializing across Hawker, Bombardier, Dassault corporate aircraft.
What to expect in this role:
- Perform heavy maintenance and in depth inspections on Legacy, Praetor, and Phenom aircraft.
- Remove and reinstall turbofan engines and APUs
- Use your sound judgment and technical expertise to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques for troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution.
- Perform operational checks and engine runs to ensure air-worthiness prior to returning aircraft to service.
- Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals, partnering with Avionics and Quality technicians.
- Evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies (squawks).
- Reinstalls and tests components after completed inspection.
- Troubleshoots and repairs all airframe systems as required (hydraulics, landing gear, etc.).
- Analyzes a variety of mechanical problems and determines the cause and best method of repair.
- Test and repair engines, engine controls, accessories, flight controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems and adjusts riggings.
- Checks and repairs fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling and pressurization systems.
- Utilize and maintain aviation mechanic hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and finely calibrated test equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate aviation, supporting Embraer Legacy, Praetor and/or Phenom.
- A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
- Ability to research and interpret maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Characteristics
- Minimum 3 years of experience and formal training on Embraer Legacy, Prader or Phenom.
- Factory authorized, Flight Safety, or CAE training on Embraer airframes.
