Position Summary

This position will support the FTI service team in serving USAF and Foreign Military customers in US and overseas locations by providing hands on mechanical services in the use or installation of FTI products. It will focus on ForceTec application 966, F-16 Aircraft Wing Pylon Rib Repair, but may encompass other FTI field repairs and/or services.

  • Mechanical aptitude and experience, preferably F-16 or other aircraft.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Precisely follow technical guidance and other job directives to safely and accurately perform duties and activities related to FTI service team assigned responsibilities. To include documentation, learning job related tasks and other aspects of performing service teamwork.
  • Maintenance, care and tracking of applicable tooling, kit hardware and consumables to support quick turnaround of repair kits between efforts and ensure tooling kits are serviceable upon arrival at jobsites.
  • Execution of on aircraft maintenance, installing FTI products, at customer locations across the United States and international locations. Accurately report expenses in a timely manner and in adherence to FTI’s travel/expense policy. Additionally, the individual should actively seek to grow their skills to support additional field service team opportunities in as appropriate.
  • Product Knowledge: This position may also learn and support other FTI products and services, provided it doesn’t interfere with work related to the FTI service team. Examples of this could include: Supporting/Training customers in the use of other FTI products on end items that are being repaired under other contracts incorporating the use of FTI products. Also agreeing to support other FTI field service or training activities not conflicting with primary pylon rib role.
  • Expense Reporting: Field Services Individuals are expected to follow corporate expense guidelines as identified within the FTI Travel Policy. Additionally, Field Service Individuals are required to adhere to the requirements as outlined by FTI customers for corporate gifts and gratuities.
  • Positive Team Attitude: Each Field Service Individual shall possess a positive and constructive attitude towards the company and their fellow co-workers.
  • Policy: All FTI employees are bound to follow all existing and future policies as Management may identify them and other duties as determined by their supervisor.

Minimum Education or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Aviation mechanical or other equivalent technical background.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in the use of powered and non-powered hand tools.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in the use of precision measuring equipment.

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to work at a customer site, such as military base or other facility.
  • Problem solving skills, ensuring that quality and safety are at the forefront of work performed.
  • Able to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Able to repeatedly ascend and descend maintenance stands/ladders.
  • Able to add and subtract multiple digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tenths and hundredths.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $26.50 to $39.75 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
