Job Title: Flight Readiness InspectorsJob Description
Seeking experienced Flight Readiness Technician Inspectors (FRTI – Level C) to support the Storage team in San Antonio, TX on variable shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform verification and inspection of flight component installation and operational functional testing of aircraft systems.
- Inspect and verify troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and document faulty components.
- Conduct inspection of pre-flight and post-flight checks and perform inspections of maintenance and modification prior to delivery.
- Support documentation of identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.
- Verify the accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection.
- Assist in performing system and sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance inspections in preparation for delivery.
- Participate in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives.
- Plan, schedule, and arrange own activities with the assistance of lead.
- Inspect, document, and create non-conformance records with minimal assistance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Must be able to work any shift including days, nights, and weekends.
- 3+ years experience in the aerospace industry.
- 3+ years of experience in quality inspection and/or auditing.
- 3+ years of experience working with Velocity and other 787 production applications.
- Experience in a team environment.
- FAA Airframe & Power Plant license (preferred).
- 3+ years of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk experience (preferred).
- 3+ years of 787 Program Experience (preferred).
- 2+ years of Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience (preferred).
- Proficient in REDARS, PSDS, and BAC specifications (preferred).
- Proficient in all forms of NCR (Non-Conformance Record) and EPD (Emergent Process Document) generation (preferred).
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (preferred).
- 3+ years of flight line operations experience (preferred).

Work Environment
Possibility of travel to BSC. A corporate credit card will be issued for travel expenses. All contractors must comply with the guidelines outlined in the General Travel and Business Expense Policy Handbook. Prior to traveling, contractors must complete the Business Travel and Expense Policy Awareness training course. It is a non-managerial, non-leadership role with variable shifts based on business needs, including 1st and 2nd shifts. Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment, which includes both OJT and formal classroom training. Contractors must have proper documentation to badge for export compliance. This is a higher-level role for the BCA 787 quality team, with priority given to those with an A&P license.
