Summary:
Perform installation, removal, and rigging of flight controls, landing gear servicing, and essential component changeouts (e.g., servo pumps, filters, engine parts).
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform modifications and repairs.
Access aircraft data systems and process parts/discrepancy requests.
Use precision measuring instruments, gauges, and specialized tools to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
Follow safety protocols, including Hazardous Energy and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Assist other team members (Avionics, Structures, Electrical) to meet cost and schedule targets.
Diagnose and correct malfunctions in assembly processes.
Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits.
Work in confined spaces, ascend/descend ladders, and lift up to 35 lbs.
Make aircraft logbook and record entries when required.
May occasionally lead teams through complex tasks.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Regular and predictable attendance.
4+ years of depot-level/heavy general aircraft maintenance.
4+ years of experience with hydraulic, flight control, landing gear, fuel system, and engine systems.
4+ years of experience reading blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
