Job Title: Machinist Assembly Technician
Job DescriptionAs a Machinist Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining shop areas, including the chemical room, machine shop, and production floor, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will organize shop materials and tools, maintaining 5S compliance, and assist production technicians in preparing aircraft parts for inspections. This entry-level role requires you to learn and operate various machines and ensure a safe and orderly work environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain shop areas including the chemical room, machine shop, and production floor for day-to-day operations, ensuring FOD control.
- Organize shop materials and tools, maintaining 5S compliance.
- Learn to select, align, and secure specified holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, sanders, drill presses, computerized engraving machines, and riveting machines.
- Assist production technicians with preparing aircraft parts for inspections by using solvent cleaners, paint strippers, and media blast as required.
- Stage material and ensure that machines are in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.
Essential Skills- 1 year of machining helper experience and/or mechanical machine operation experience or manual machining.
- Experience with assembly and machine operating.
- Proficiency with calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to read from prints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience in a machine operator role or manual helper machinist role.
- Entry-level role assisting CNC machinists and Manual machinists in setting up parts and tooling created by the engineering team.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
