Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace, Haverhill is a world-class manufacturer of precision machined aerospace components. We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician. The primary responsibility of a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician is to set up, repair, adjust, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for quality on this equipment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Analyzes mechanical, electrical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
- Makes preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
- Notifies maintenance department or supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience repairing and maintaining NC and manual machine tools
- Must have a thorough understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Strong trouble shooting skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
