JOB OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Planner reports to the Tech Ops Supervisor and is responsible for the development and ongoing technical support of maintenance programs for Operational Fleet aircraft and Regency Owned aircraft to ensure the timely and efficient completion of all required aircraft maintenance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational Fleet Maintenance Programs
- Development of the maintenance programs for all Operational Fleet aircraft (Aeroflyer, KFACL ATRs) by working with the KFACL/Aeroflyer team to determine utilization, expected operations and aircraft configurations.
- Responsible for the oversight of the maintenance program for all operational fleet aircraft by ensuring the OEM Maintenance Program Document (MPD) revisions have been reviewed and incorporated. This includes working with the Reliability and Airworthiness team to review and assess any changes required, and coordinating the updates with the Records and Compliance team.
- Coordinate with the Records group to create load files to upload the maintenance program into the applicable ERK software by using previous operator reports and historical records.
- Provide assistance and guidance for any potential revisions to the maintenance program driven by operational requirements as decided by the Material Review Board (MRB) for all operational airplanes. Report the MPD revisions and impact to the fleet maintenance programs at the KFACL Maintenance Review Board meetings.
- In coordination with the Records group, ensure accurate and up-to-date MPD task card management within the applicable ERK software.
- Regency Lease/Purchase Fleet Planner
- Development of the maintenance programs for all Regency Owned aircraft that are out on lease, including but not limited to IFL B727-200s, B737-Classics, B737-800s, ATR 72s.
- Review and/or plan lease return maintenance packages for the Regency Fleet to provide to the Business Development team for quoting.
- Plan heavy or line maintenance for any new Regency aircraft purchases to prepare them for lease.
- Review future upcoming maintenance to help determine reserve amounts, cost of future maintenance and assist lease customers with their maintenance programs.
- Coordinate with lease customers during the review of the lease return packages to verify the aircraft maintenance is cleared out per the lease contract terms.
- Review upcoming maintenance of potential new aircraft purchases to determine the risks and value of the aircraft.
- Determine, plan and issue the required storage maintenance for both airframe and engines to help preserve the assets.
- Plan the IFL heavy maintenance and communicating the upcoming heavy maintenance requirements to IFL for their fleet of B727s.
- Identify any changes required to KF task cards applicable to the Regency fleet and initiate those change requests with the Tech Pubs department.
- Operational Fleet Support
- Liaise with the KFACL/Aeroflyer team to provide advice and support for any maintenance program revisions to reflect changes in operations, utilization, and flight schedules, along with any reliability driven changes.
- Liaise with the KFACL/Aeroflyer team to provide advice and support on all MPD and maintenance program related issues.
- Other tasks as required and assigned by the supervisor/manager.
REQUIREMENTS
- AME (licensed or unlicensed) plus 5 years of aircraft maintenance program planning experience
OR non-AME with 10 years of relevant work experience of aircraft maintenance program planning experience
- Must have knowledge of ATR and/or Boeing aircraft systems, manuals and maintenance programs (preference for knowledge with both aircraft types)
- Good knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and other TCCA/FAA/EASA regulatory requirements.
- Strong computer skills
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Post Secondary education (2-year diploma in related field)
HOURS OF WORK
The shift times are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
