Position SummaryTo perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and servicing of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and related components, ensuring all units remain safe, reliable, and fully operational at all times. The role includes troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving issues across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, supporting preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Accountabilities- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of Ground Support Equipment such as GPU, ASU, ACU, loaders, belt loaders, transporters, passenger steps, tugs and other support vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Assist in periodic inspections and testing of equipment to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation as per departmental procedures.
- Adhere strictly to workshop safety rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in technical and safety training programs.
- Report equipment abnormalities, unsafe conditions, or near-miss incidents promptly.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the superior or maintenance executive
Qualifications and Years of ExperienceQualification:
- Possess Malaysia Skills Certificate (SKM Level 1 or 2), or Diploma, or Malaysia Skill Diploma (DKM), or Advanced Skills Diploma (DLKM) in, Automotive, Autotronic, Mechatronic, Automotive Electrical, Mechanical or a related engineering field.
- Knowledge and skills in Electric Vehicle (EV) systems will be an added advantage.
- Age not more than 35 years old.
- Possess a valid driving license Class D, Class E is an added advantage.
Experience:
- Hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Ground Support Equipment (GSE), heavy machinery, or automotive systems is preferred.
- Candidates with airport or aviation equipment maintenance experience will be given priority.
Skills and Knowledge- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiar with workshop tools, diagnostic instruments, and maintenance procedures.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic and EV systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to interpret technical manuals and drawings.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
- Physically fit, disciplined, and able to work under minimal supervision.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and on-call duties when required

- Diagnosing complex faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and EV systems
