Location: FE Warren AFB – Cheyenne, WY
Clearance: Active U.S. Secret Clearance Required
Shifts: Must be able to work all shifts; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd - based on business needs
Travel: 10%–25%
Training: OJT or formal classroom training (2–4 weeks; completion required)
Onsite: 100% onsite required

Overview

PDS Defense Inc. is seeking experienced Military Helicopter Operations Technician across multiple specialties — Structures, Avionics, Mechanic, and Weapons — to support operations at FE Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. These positions require strong hands-on technical skills, shift flexibility, and the ability to work under general direction in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Position Responsibilities

Opportunities are available in Mechanic, Avionics, and Structures disciplines. Responsibilities include:

• Assemble, disassemble, and modify systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aircraft components
• Support and oversee aircraft assembly, disassembly, and overhaul activities
• Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment
• Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate faults and perform repairs
• Conduct validation and verification testing on components and systems
• Document repairs, inspections, procedures, test results, and modifications in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements
• Inspect and verify component repairs for flightworthiness
• Work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements 

• Minimum 3 years of military aircraft maintenance experience
• Proficiency with standard aircraft maintenance tools (e.g., test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes/shears)
• Ability to work multiple shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd)
• Willingness to travel 10%–25%
• Successful completion of required training (contingency for assignment)
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (active within the last 24 months)
• Ability to work 100% onsite at FE Warren AFB

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED
• Typically 4+ years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience
• Equivalent combinations considered, including:
  • Vocational school / Associate degree + 2 years related experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MH-139 rotorcraft maintenance or modifications
• General rotorcraft maintenance background
• Held or currently hold an A&P License
• Broad general mechanic experience
