About the Role:

As a Production Test Technician, you will be responsible for setting up test apparatus, conducting tests, and assembling production units according to engineering specifications. This role requires a mix of mechanical expertise, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to ensure systems operate correctly and efficiently. Your work will directly impact the success of production processes and contribute to the quality control and safety of aviation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Testing & Calibration: Set up and conduct tests on production assemblies and units, ensuring they meet predefined methods, standards, and procedures. Adjust and calibrate systems as necessary.

• Assembly & Integration: Lay out, assemble, and integrate mechanical components to create fully functional systems. Work with systems involving pipe fabrication, tube bending, flaring, and compression fittings.

• Equipment Modification: Modify equipment as required, adding, removing, or altering components based on design diagrams and sketches.

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Identify and correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing faulty parts/components as directed.

• Tool & Device Operation: Use hand and small power tools, along with various measuring and testing devices, to perform job duties accurately.

• Quality Assurance: Monitor and verify the quality of assembled units in line with statistical process control and other industry standards.

• Safety & Efficiency: Work independently and within a team, adhering to safety guidelines and ensuring tasks are completed within dynamic timelines, including overtime or adjusted hours when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience working with mechanical and pneumatic systems.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in using hand tools, small power tools, and measuring/testing devices.

• Systems Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including the ability to work with high-pressure and combustible gases.

• Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions effectively.

• Reading & Interpretation: Capability to read and interpret drawings and schematics for system integration and troubleshooting.

• Work Ethic: Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and collaborate effectively within a team. Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment with the potential for flexible hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in aviation or aerospace industries.

• Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.

• Additional certifications or specialized training in mechanical, pneumatic, or systems testing.

Pay Details: $29.66 to $34.65 per hour
