QUALITY INSPECTORS
Job Summary:
HQ Aero is currently recruiting QUALITY INSPECTORS in TUCSON AZ.
Responsibilities:
As a Quality Inspector, you will be required to:
- Conduct weighing procedures in accordance with customers’ recommended practices and procedures.
- Upon A/C arrival, obtain associated documentation, complete A/C records and document receipt to perform incoming inspections.
- Coordinate inspection activities in compliance with computer tracking maintenance programs.
- Upon receipt, perform inspection of all new, repaired, and rebuilt pares/components for evidence of physical damage, count, and conformity.
- Ensure all work packages (orders and forms) as well as records of arrival, maintenance and corrective actions performed, are documented accurately and that all specialized customers (RED, RFE, & SRPSA) and regulatory paperwork (FAA, FAR/CAA, etc.) are complete and required approvals have been obtained.
- Research aircraft drawings and technical data (i.e., REO, EINO, EO, EA)
- Perform walk around inspection or aircraft for release from maintenance.
- Perform return to service process and ensure assigned aircraft meet all airworthiness requirements prior to return to service.
- Provide data to customers as requested.
- Train, coach and mentor technicians and other inspectors in performance of duties in area(s) of qualification.
- Assist with research activities.
- Perform conformity inspections.
- Conduct internal procedural audits.
- Perform research functions, including aircraft records research, aircraft configuration assessment and maintenance requirement determination based on research.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years experience performing aircraft inspections under Far 145, 121, 135 or Military experience on commercial / military aircraft.
- FAA-issued Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Have a working knowledge of special tooling and machinery used in detail inspections.
- Have a working knowledge of aircraft part fabrication process.
- Ability to calculate tolerances using specialty / calibrated measuring devices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents.
- Ability to use and interpret a variety of precision measurement instruments and special tooling.
- Must be able to pass hearing and vision tests.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language in accordance with Title 14 CFR Part 65.
Job Type: - Full-time, Contract to Direct after 6 months.
- Schedule: Must be comfortable with 12-hour shifts on a 3/4/4/3 schedule, which includes days / nights and weekends.
- Travel Pay: $150 (If Applicable)
Essential Job Functions - Skill to measure using a variety of precision measuring devices.
- Skill to use basic hand tools necessary to perform job.
- Skill to interpret and operate inspection/test equipment applicable to the job.
- Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task.
- Must be computer proficient.
- Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
- Work Environment : Ability to work in confined spaces. FAR Part 135 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
