Quality InspectorJob Description
Join a fast-paced, innovative aerospace team as a Quality Inspector, playing a critical role in supporting a key value stream focused on Advanced Lavatories and Cabin Integrations (ALCI). In this position, you ensure that production and quality procedures are rigorously followed, performing precise inspections that uphold 100 quality standards for customers. You will conduct a wide range of quality inspection and coordination activities in full compliance with company and health and safety procedures, directly contributing to the next generation of aviation technology.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed mechanical and cosmetic inspections on components and assemblies to ensure they meet all engineering and quality standards.
- Provide quality control support for new product introductions, ensuring that new products comply with established specifications and procedures before release.
- Conduct inspection services for incoming goods, returned items, and assembled products, verifying conformity to drawings, specifications, and quality criteria.
- Accurately document non-conformances, ensuring all relevant information is captured for traceability and analysis.
- Report major quality issues and recurring defects to leadership in a timely manner, supporting swift resolution and continuous improvement.
- Carry out First Article Inspections (FAI) to validate new or revised parts and processes against engineering requirements.
- Follow company and health and safety procedures at all times while performing inspection and quality control activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support corrective actions and improvement initiatives arising from inspection findings.
- Use quality disciplines such as 8D reporting and 5 Whys to support root cause analysis and corrective action completion.
Essential Skills
- Proven, solid inspection experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- High level of attention to detail, maintaining precision and accuracy in a fast-paced setting while meeting deadlines.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings and communicate quality issues.
- Strong numerical skills to support measurement, tolerance evaluation, and data recording.
- Familiarity with quality disciplines including 8D reporting, 5 Whys, and completion of corrective action reports.
- Hands-on experience with inspection, quality control, and quality assurance activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in an aerospace or similarly regulated, high-precision industry is advantageous.
- Comfort working within structured quality systems and formal procedures.

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing and assembly environment focused on advanced aerospace products, including lavatories and cabin integration systems. You will work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams, spending much of your time on the shop floor performing hands-on inspections of incoming goods, returned items, and assembled units. The setting is fast-paced and process-driven, with established company and health and safety procedures guiding daily activities. Work typically involves the use of inspection tools and measurement equipment, as well as frequent reference to engineering drawings and quality documentation. A professional appearance suitable for a manufacturing and engineering environment is expected.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Everett, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
