Tasks
The Senior Engine Mechanic is responsible for:
- Maintain, service and repair of engines (professionally and on time) within the scope of thequal. / auth. provided for this purpose (hands-on mechanical tasks) in shop as well as on wingand on-site
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required duties
- Diagnoses problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Detects errors and correct through proper departmental changes
- Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements
- * All other duties as assigned or required
Requirements
The ideal Senior Engine Mechanic should meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of college degree or vocational training required
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an aircraft jet engine mechanic required
- Fluency in English is essential
- Familiarity with CFM56-7B and LEAP-1B engines is highly desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Committed to delivering high-quality work and maintaining safety standards
- Highly productivity-driven, with a focus on efficiency and performance
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in dynamic work environments
- Reliable and dependable, with a strong sense of responsibility
- Professional judgment and decision-making skills
- Effective team player with excellent collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel as required by operational needs
- Open to shift work and available for overtime when necessary
- Able to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
- Resilient in high-stress situations and able to stay focused
