There is never a dull moment on this strategic effort, a cornerstone for the nation’s security. The Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will completely replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, an undertaking not performed in over 50 years. This program is considered a “mega-project” and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. As part of the U.S. Air Forces Integration Support Contract (ISC), BAE Systems provides advisory and assistance services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of the Sentinel ICBM Prime Contractor.

The Role
BAE is looking for an experienced Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer to work within the Sentinel Support Equipment section. As part of a close-knit team, youll help acquire and integrate support equipment for the next-generation ICBM, collaborating with the government customer and Sentinel Prime Contractor to review and assess design, documentation, and architectures. Youll provide advice to Sentinel leaders and support ICBM Missile Operators, Maintainers, and Security Forces throughout the acquisition cycle, utilizing Earned Value Management, Agile, and MBSE best practices. Strong task management skills are essential to ensure team deadlines are met and engineering work executed effectively.
