Morson Edge is recruiting a Sheet Metal Worker (Stretch Form) to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing environment in Burnley. This is a long-term opportunity within a structured, quality-led setting where precision matters and programmes remain consistent.
You’ll be part of a specialist team producing high-quality aircraft components using stretch forming and associated fabrication techniques.
The Role
You will form and shape aircraft components using materials such as aluminium, steel, and titanium, working from engineering drawings, templates, and fixtures. The role demands accuracy, consistency, and a strong grasp of sheet metal processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Stretch form aircraft sheet metal components
- Mark out, cut, and form materials to specification
- Work from engineering drawings, templates, and work instructions
- Use hand tools and mechanical aids including presses and forming equipment
- Ensure all work meets required quality and safety standards
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe systems of work
Requirements
- Time-served apprenticeship in Sheet Metal Work or similar
- Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong understanding of sheet metal forming processes
- Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings
- High attention to detail and quality-focused workmanship
