Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of next-generation commercial aircraft engines.
- Act as a mechanical integrator, combining inputs to construct clean-sheet designs.
- Lead trade studies and evaluate the impact of new technologies.
- Coordinate efforts of a global, multi-disciplinary team.
- Create and execute technical solutions for new engine challenges.
The Ideal Candidate: A strategic leader who thrives in dynamic environments, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance weight, cost, and reliability in engine design.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in an Aero/Mechanical engineering position.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Over 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, supply chain, sourcing, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience estimating weight, product cost, maintenance cost, and design parameters early in engine development programs.
- Proficiency in Unigraphics NX.
- Exposure to compressor or turbine aerodynamics.
- Experience with engine cycle and performance.
- Prior experience leading global cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
