At Gulfstream in Savannah, GA, we are looking for a motivated Structural Mechanic I to join our team and contribute to the production of world-class aircraft. Your Responsibilities:
Perform detailed structural assembly, including drilling, riveting, and fitting of aircraft parts
Use riveting tools and advanced equipment to assemble sheetmetal components to FAA standards
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and sketches to ensure flawless execution
Maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with company regulations
Check all work thoroughly to ensure defect-free assemblies
Why You’re a Perfect Fit:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Experience: 1 year of structural assembly experience, with credit given for graduates of Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program
Tools & Tech: Familiarity with Solumina and Smarteam preferred, along with strong experience using various riveting tools
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
Essential Skills You’ll Need:
Ability to read blueprints and perform basic shop math
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet demanding production schedules
A professional attitude, team spirit, and hands-on aptitude
Knowledge of aircraft structures, shee-tmetal fabrication, and composite resins
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in continuous improvement activities, like Kaizen events and Lean initiatives
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in compliance with the 5S Program
Properly care for tools and equipment assigned by your supervisor
Pay Details: $21.21 per hour
