Summary:
Assemble and install parts per quality requirements, using blueprints and work orders.
Perform manual and automated assembly operations, including setup and machine functions.
Rework and reassemble components, perform functional testing, and troubleshoot issues.
Handle materials, parts, and tools as needed for assembly tasks.
Use precision instruments to measure and verify work quality.
Report any errors or issues with parts, tools, or assembly processes.
Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain proper lubrication and coolant levels.
Move products between workstations and document assembly progress.
Assist with continuous flow and train/coach staff as needed.
Identify and document non-conformances during inspections.
Cross-train in inspection and become SIA qualified.
Specializations:
Sealer: Seal assemblies and sub-assemblies, apply sealing compounds for fuel cells and wing sections.
Precision Bench Assembly: Assemble precision aircraft components, such as landing gear and control linkages.
Sub-Assembly: Utilize templates, jigs, and fixtures to create sub-assemblies.
Assembly/Installation: Assemble structural parts and door systems, ensuring alignment and proper fitting.
Inspection: Verify dimensions using mechanical and electronic tools, document corrective actions for discrepancies.
Requirements:
5 to 10 years of experience in assembly, particularly in sealing, fuel cell sealing, and precision assembly.
Experience with drilling, countersinking, and riveting aluminum/titanium, as well as installing nutplates and fasteners.
Must be available for 2nd shift and weekends as needed.
Must pass the "Plate Test" to avoid contract termination.
