JOB TITLE: Technical Writer (Aircraft Maintenance) - Remote
LOCATION: Remote (Training in New Mexico during the first week)
PAY RATE: Up to $55/hour

Summary:
Develop, author, review, and control operational Maintenance Task Cards.
Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and subject-matter experts to ensure accurate information for maintenance documentation.
Utilize existing technical documentation to create efficient and effective task cards.
Work with maintenance planners to ensure task card organization and effectiveness.
Ensure safety, quality, and technical accuracy in maintenance task cards.
Coordinate with flight maintenance, ground maintenance, and quality teams to implement changes and resolve deficiencies.
Perform on-ship documentation as needed and assist with other tasks assigned by Maintenance Operations Management.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent aerospace operations experience.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate preferred.
Proficient in preparing technical data, product support data, and technical documents.
Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and specifications.
Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to solve complex technical problems and take ownership of issues until resolution.
Applicants must be U.S. persons per ITAR (22 CFR 120.15).
Desired Skills:
At least 3 years of experience in a Part 121 or 135 air carrier or MRO environment.
Experience converting aircraft technical design data and blueprints into maintenance task cards.
Previous aviation maintenance operations experience preferred.
