Turbine Engine Technician

**Location:** Aurora, Oregon

**Position Type:** Contract-to-Hire (6 Months leading to direct hire)

**Compensation:**

- **Local:** $28 to $32/hour

- **Non-Local:** Base Pay: $19.25/hour (taxed)

- **Per Diem:** $165/day (for travel over 75 miles, up to 5 days)

- **Total Compensation:** Up to $40/day

- **Overtime:** $45/hour

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Engine Overhaul:** Skillfully disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, and test helicopter engines and related systems.

- **Maintenance & Inspection:** Read and accurately interpret maintenance manuals to perform comprehensive inspections of engines and components for damage and wear using specialized tools.

- **Repair & Replacement:** Efficiently replace or repair damaged and worn parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment.

- **Testing & Certification:** Reassemble engines and perform necessary tests to ensure serviceability, meticulously documenting all inspection findings and corrective actions in maintenance records.

**Required Skills:**

- Expertise in disassembly, troubleshooting, repair, reassembly, and testing of turbine engines.

- Proficient in reading and interpreting maintenance manuals.

- Experience with a range of tools and precision measuring equipment.

- Strong documentation skills for recording inspection findings and corrective actions.

**Work Environment:**

- Fully on-site in the Accessory shop area, working on repair and test benches.

- Initial schedule: 5-day workweek (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).

- Transition to a 4-day workweek (5:00 AM - 4:30 PM), with options for Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday shifts.
