Position SummaryThe Welder is responsible for MIG welding and fabricating components of fire sprinkler systems. Work includes preparing materials, performing welds, inspecting for defects, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. This is a hands-on role requiring welding skill, attention to detail, and teamwork.
Work is performed in a non-climate-controlled shop. The team is collaborative, highly skilled, and values safety, reliability, and strong workmanship.
Note: All candidates must bring PPE and welding hood to the interview for a weld test (minimum 2 hours).
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities3–5 years of welding and fabrication experience
MIG welding experience (specialty welding of spools, flanges, pipe outlets)
Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
Basic math skills for alignment and measurements
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and quality control
Basic computer skills (Outlook/Email)
Education & ExperiencePreferred Experience:
Minimum Qualifications
Work Environment & Physical RequirementsNon-climate-controlled shop (can be hot)
Standing, walking, and manual labor for extended periods
Use of welding equipment, tools, and industrial machinery
Ability to lift and move materials as needed
Required to wear appropriate PPE (safety shoes, gloves, helmet, etc.)
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding on spools, flanges, and carbon steel pipe
Weld outlets and other fittings onto pipe per specifications
Inspect welds for defects, alignment, groove depth, and splits
Maintain a clean and safe welding station
Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
Report equipment malfunctions or safety issues requiring repairs
Read work instructions and perform calculations for alignment and measurements
Use basic computer skills for online training modules and documentation

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
