The Aircraft Maintenance Productions Supervisor supervises and coordinates production activities to include aircraft maintenance, flying schedules, and other branch activities.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensures the execution of aircraft maintenance, flying schedules, and other Branch activities are being accomplished in a safe appropriate manner acceptable to the Government and in accordance with the contract performance work statement/statement of work.
- Assess the suitability of aircraft with repeat, recur and cannot duplicate discrepancies for continued flight.
- Establishes procedures to minimize foreign object damage and dropped objects.
- Coordinate with PS&D on non-mission capable aircraft scheduled to fly on the following day so a replacement aircraft may be selected prior to the daily schedule.
- Fully understand and be prepared to implement specific on-base disaster control duties and squadron responsibilities pertaining to aircraft/SE movement and personnel evacuation procedures.
- Maintain a current copy of on-base disaster map with appropriate functional checklist outlining duties during disaster scenarios.
- Participate in developing and executing the monthly and weekly flying and maintenance schedules/plans. - Coordinates all efforts to ensure 100 safe, on time, properly configured, reliable aircraft to perform the Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training mission.
- Coordinates all programmed on-equipment, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, and monitor progress through aircraft forms and the Maintenance Information System.
- Coordinate and executes all training requirements within his/her specific area of responsibility to ensure all mechanics/technicians are task qualified and certified.
- Ensures Branch Manager is kept informed of all maintenance activities. - Responsible for implementing and enforcing data integrity.
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
- This position requires a minimum 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, and some weekends.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in related field, and five (5) years relative experience, three (3) years of which must be Department of Defense experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of eight (8) years of directly related experience, five (5) years of which must be Department of Defense experience.
- Must possess ability to understand and comply with Government publications and technical orders.
- Must possess ability to perform analytical analysis and apply risk management techniques.
- Experience in conflict resolution, team building, and coaching skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with unionized work force highly desired.
