Role Introduction
Report To: Cargo Standard, Policy and Operations Support Manager
You will be part of a dedicated team focused on developing and enhancing freighter handling systems and solutions.
As an Assistant Manager Cargo Operational Solutions, your goal will be to oversee the development of ramp handling, aircraft loading, and weight and balance functions. You will act as an operational expert and contribute to project teams managing the development, testing, and implementation of operational solutions.
In this role, you will gain valuable insights into cargo service delivery and operational efficiency. You will have the opportunity to lead significant projects that enhance global operations and improve service quality across the network.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with project leaders to gather and consolidate requirements for load control and reconciliation systems; lead digital projects in collaboration with operational and technical stakeholders to enhance productivity and safety
- Collaborate with the cargo IT team to refine system design and customization specifications
- Provide administrative support, including user access management and aircraft profile configuration
- Work with the project team to develop customization features and offer feedback on user experience and interface design
- Conduct user acceptance testing with project leaders and IT teams to ensure systems meet design specifications
- Participate in training and change management initiatives to support the network; develop rollout plans with the project team, defining roles, timelines, and success criteria for system implementation
- Perform process gap analysis and review current procedures for future improvements
- Ensure revised procedures comply with regulatory standards and organizational requirements
- Provide feedback on outstanding items to the project team and coordinate with vendors for timely delivery
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design post-implementation reports for data analytics on system utilization and compliance
Requirements
- Tertiary education or equivalent qualification
- 3 to 5 years of experience in operations and project management
- In-depth knowledge of freighter handling and load control processes
- Proven project management skills with a focus on delivery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in computer applications, including database management
- Strong command of spoken and written English
- Willingness to travel extensively for work as needed
