Role Introduction
Reports to: Aircraft Fuel Procurement Manager
Reporting to the Aircraft Fuel Procurement Manager, key responsibilities include fuel sourcing and supplier management, fuel supply operations, as well as fuel system administration and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
Fuel Sourcing and Supplier Management
- Responsible for end-to-end Fuel Procurement responsibilities on assigned Locations/Countries (eg; China, Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Macau)
- Market research & analysis (commodity spanets, suppliers, locations, etc.)
- Prepare ,execute & drive fuel supply tenders within the Fuel Team with CCS and in all cases via the ARIBA platform.
- Implement CXs balanced scorecard methodology (CISQAS) in support of Supplier proposal assessment, determine and submit award recommendation for management approval
- Conduct commercial and contractual negotiations with Suppliers through to award close
- Develop Supplier Relationships, monitor Supplier Key Performance Indicators and conduct Supplier Performance Reviews (QPRs) as necessary.
- Manage delivery of Fuel Procurement tasks and activities in accordance with defined internal Key Performance Indicators (internal KPIs)
- Manage assigned fuel procurement projects and campaigns
- Responsible for all contract and administrative matters with Air Hong Kong (LD) ensuring all contracts are executed and effective in time.
- Arrange and manage MG Crew Assistance when available.
- Maintain and continuously update the Fuel Tender Timetable.
- In charge of the ARIBA dashboard, ensuring that ARIBA projects are completed and closed out in timely fashion.
Fuel Supply Operations
- On-going monitoring of Fuel Supply Operations (supply availability and delivery performance) in assigned Locations.
- Monitor Fuel supply status in contracted locations (Including order management and inventory level optimization)
- Effectively manage supply escalation events (disruptions), act as Interface between CXs Integrated Operations Center and Fuel Suppliers
- Optimize flight allotments on designated locations with the refueling agents (and relevant fuel suppliers)
Fuel System Critical-User
- In charge of Fuel Plus platform in General. This includes being the Focal point, “Super User” and System Administrator.
- Being the focal point for the GBS team on Fuel Plus , this includes maintaining "Base/Reference" data in FuelPlus system (user profiles, contract types, supplier catalogue, etc.)
- Maintain non-automated data changes (e.g. 3rd party fees, posted pricing, etc.)
- Upload Planning schedules into Fuel Management System
- Generate Management Reports in support of the Fuel teams and other internal stakeholders
- As the Fuel Plus Super user work with the fuel procurement manager to explore the possibility of automating the more routine task, together with fully utilizing the latest features/upgrades with a view to lean processes that could benefit all departments using F+.
Special Projects
- Be an active member of the IATA China Working Group
- Assist the Fuel Procurement Manager with the “Paperless Refuelling Project” in HKG and thereafter the progressive rollout across the CX/KA/LD Network.
- In charge of , and key focal for the annual audit with Finance ensuring the audit is successful, all findings assigned to APD are tracked and closed with suitable mitigation in place in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Degree holder with minimum 3 years relevant experience, preferably In procurement, commercial or customer service
- Self-motivated, driven and disciplined.
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage timeline-driven projects with minimal supervision and on time
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player, able to work in cross-functional team environment
- Comfortable working with supporting IT systems/applications
- Fluency in written and spoken English is a must; spoken Mandarin, Cantonese or other languages would be an advantage.
