Job Summary:
The Associate Director of Workforce Planning plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization has the right talent, in the right place, at the right time. This role involves strategic workforce planning, data analysis, forecasting, and collaboration with key stakeholders to address staffing needs, optimize workforce efficiency, and align talent strategies with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Workforce Strategy & Planning:
-Develop and implement long-term workforce planning strategies to meet the needs of the aviation sector.
-Forecast workforce supply and demand based on industry trends, business growth, and regulatory changes.
-Analyze labor spanet trends, workforce demographics, and talent pipelines to mitigate staffing risks.
-Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Business Leaders to align workforce plans with strategic business objectives.
-Manage Lead and check lead promotions.
-Develop and maintain workforce planning models and tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
-Develop and maintain departmental budgeting processes and procedures to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability
Data Analysis & Workforce Optimization:
-Utilize data analytics and workforce modeling tools to assess workforce productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor key workforce metrics, including attrition rates, skill gaps, and succession planning needs.
- Develop workforce dashboards and reports for leadership decision-making.
- Implement technology and AI-driven workforce planning solutions to enhance forecasting accuracy.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure workforce planning strategies comply with aviation industry regulations, labor laws, and union agreements.
- Identify workforce risks and develop contingency plans for staffing disruptions.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership:
- Lead cross-functional workforce planning initiatives involving HR, Operations, Finance, and IT.
- Present workforce insights and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in workforce planning processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
Experience:
-18+ years of experience in workforce planning or strategic planning, preferably in the aviation industry.
-Strong understanding of aviation workforce dynamics.
-Experience working with workforce planning tools, analytics, and forecasting models.
Skills & Competencies:
-Expertise in workforce analytics, demand forecasting, and strategic planning.
-Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
-Knowledge of aviation regulations, labor laws, and union negotiations.
-Proficiency in technology, data visualization tools, and workforce planning software.
-Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
-Advanced working knowledge on Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI tools and Dashboards.
-Delivering presentation and understanding of Dashboards to stakeholders.
-Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
-Should be flexible to work on tight timelines.
