Job Title: Aviation Maintenance Fleet ManagerJob Description
The Fleet Manager provides comprehensive oversight, planning, and maintenance control for assigned aircraft. This role is responsible for maintaining aircraft records, planning maintenance events, managing AOG situations, and coordinating with scheduling and service centers. The Fleet Manager ensures adherence to Company Vision, Mission, and Values while managing budgets and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the upkeep and auditing of aircraft records, ensuring logbooks and CAMP status are up to date.
- Plan future maintenance events, building work packages aligned with company goals to minimize downtime.
- Manage all aspects of AOG events, including vendor selection, work progress, and parts supply.
- Provide timely updates in Jet Insight and ensure smooth RTS (Return to Service).
- Coordinate engine removals and other major events with providers and vendors.
- Collaborate with scheduling and operations teams to route aircraft, ensuring minimal disruption to flight schedules while meeting maintenance requirements.
- Maintain schedule reliability for the fleet.
- Serve as the point of contact between operations, aircraft owners, and maintenance teams, ensuring clear communication on costs, downtime, and maintenance schedules.
- Prepare for weekly Maintenance Planning Meetings.
- Track deferrals, monitor labor hours, and ensure parts are ordered on time.
- Coordinate work instruction distribution and manage maintenance events from start to finish, ensuring FAA compliance.
- Create annual maintenance budgets for each assigned aircraft, ensuring accuracy in financial planning and expense tracking.
- Provide detailed turnover reports for the on-call Fleet Manager and assist with additional duties as assigned by the DOM.
- May require occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work.
Essential Skills- Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required.
- Strong ability to multitask and actively plan ahead.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and ability to share solutions across the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varying hours and be on-call as needed.
Work EnvironmentThe role is primarily office-based with some physical demands related to aircraft inspections. You will work in a hangar in Napa, maintaining around 12 aircraft. The position involves intermittent physical activity, including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of sitting. You should be able to lift up to 20 pounds and maneuver that load at arms length.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
