Summary Coordinate shop floor operation of the Cold Finish, Utility, Cutoff/Etch and Rolling departments. Must meet specific daily and weekly goals in these departments for: on time deliveries, safety, dock targets and earned standard hours, (including weekends). Will also coordinate monthly PM schedules with the Maintenance supervisor. This is for 2nd shift 3:30pm-11:30pm position Essential Functions The Production Supervisor must have a broad-based knowledge of the Bar Mill to an extent to understand the process flow and to make spot decisions when required. Must also have working knowledge of the commodity coded consumable supplies as well as schedule overtime to meet production deliveries and targets. - Receive information from previous shift foreman from each department and pass on information to foreman on relieving shift.
- Maintain company policy and ensure contract rules are followed.
Additional Responsibilities - Man each production department based on priorities set by Production control.
- Constant awareness and training in safety.
- Enforcing Plant rules and safety rules in “in general Plant and Safety Rule” handbooks.
- Must be familiar with IAM Local 2310 contract.
- Responsible for keeping the Bar Mill clean and must be a part of and support 5S projects.
- Work with Engineering and Quality Assurance to update procedures and improve processes.
- Must be familiar with Oracle shop floor front end and applications.

Education and Experience A high school diploma/GED is required along with at least three years of supervisory experience. The candidate must be computer literate and capable of navigating in Oracle, Lotus Notes and Microsoft Excel/Word. Special Skills - Computer literacy is a requirement.
