We are recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced Base Manager to join our team in London Gatwick Airport. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the crew within the base, with a particular focus on cabin crew and pilot welfare and support. You will be accountable for driving crew performance and engagement, while ensuring operational excellence within the base. There is a flying element to this role where training is provided.
As the Base Manager your key responsibilities will include, leading an effective crew community, line managing People Support Managers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and promoting a strong safety culture. You will be managing crew performance and conduct, crew welfare and support, and maintaining Health and Safety standards in line with local and easyJet requirements. You will also take responsibility for organising base communications, delivering innovative and effective communications using multiple channels.
What you need to do this role
You will have extensive experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, with a proven track record in operational delivery aligned with strategic business goals. You’ll be able to demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels, both internally and externally.
First-class organisational, administrative, and presentation skills are essential, alongside the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You must be resilient, able to work well under pressure, and committed to encouraging a collaborative team culture. Proficiency in IT, including Outlook, Excel, and communication tools, is required, as well as experience in driving process improvements. A strong understanding of easyJet’s ‘one team’ ethos and the ability to eliminate divisions between Flight and Cabin Crew is also important.

Location & Hours of Work
This is a full-time role and will be 40 hours per week based at London Gatwick Airport – You will be required to participate in out of hours on call roster and some Network travel will be required.
