The Role:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will serve as a key ambassador for Chartright in the Western Canadian market, responsible for expanding brand visibility, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering strong client relationships. By identifying new business opportunities, fostering strong client relationships, and supporting sales efforts, the BDM will play a key role in generating revenue and enhancing market presence. The BDM will report directly to the General Manager and collaborate closely with various teams to achieve organizational goals.
What YOU will do:
- Drive Growth: Promote Chartright’s charter and aircraft management services in Western markets, boosting brand recognition and growth.
- Generate New Business: Identify and pursue new business opportunities while supporting the sales team in maximizing revenue potential.
- Build Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive networking.
- Enhance Customer Satisfaction: Provide exceptional service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Lead Negotiations: Assist in preparing and presenting customized charter quotes for Western clientele.
- Market Insights: Gather valuable market data to inform marketing strategies and provide insights to the marketing team.
- Promotional Contributions: Contribute to the creation of promotional campaigns, sponsorships, and events.
- Collaborative Projects: Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, as assigned.
What you bring:
- Diploma or bachelors degree from an accredited college or university ideally in business or five years of sales experience selling aircraft services
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours and moderate travel requirements
- In-depth knowledge of corporate aviation operations, both internally and externally
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent customer service focus, with a results-driven and influence-oriented approach
- Ability to consistently execute at a high level and achieve performance targets
- Ability to grow top-line revenues while maintaining margin
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to influence with integrity and respect
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and business development goals
