What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney Special Technology Programs requires an individual with program management experience along with survivability and gas turbine engine technical knowledge to perform project & customer management activities in support of future fighter, Autonomous Collaborative Platforms and other advanced aircraft propulsion systems.
The position will report through Special Technology Programs and support the GATORWORKS organization in MDP.
This position will be the primary interface (Focal) for Pratt & Whitney with a key Weapons System Customer [WSC] (such as General Atomics or Lockheed Martin) for the execution of studies, Independent Research and Development (IRAD) and Contracted Research and Development (CRAD) activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with key WSC personnel, primarily from the advanced programs organization, but also other WSC business units as they manage their participation in family of system programs.
- Addressing requests, managing communications, coordinating, and participating in frequent customer visits
- Coordinate activities of a small, dedicated Pratt & Whitney engineering team, coordinate with the Business Development organization, and report on Pratt & Whitney technical activity to the GATORWORKS management team.
- Proposal preparation; developing appropriately detailed program plans; managing multi-functional program teams; sales forecasting and resource planning and working closely with the P&W engineering organization to provide technical support.
- Integrate into the Weapons System Contractor organization, foster and develop communication with key management and functional personnel as well as provide technical briefings to the WSC and internal Pratt & Whitney management. Collaborate with other Weapon System Contractor focals to efficiently execute internal studies.
- Through these relationships the individual will ensure that Pratt & Whitney is aligned and well positioned on current business and will work with the Weapons System Contractor organization to develop new customers and expand the Pratt & Whitney’s business.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar areas of study required with 10+ years of program management experience in the areas of propulsion system integration along with a working knowledge of inlet, turbomachinery, and exhaust systems experience required, OR, advanced degree with 7+ years of program management experience in the areas of propulsion system integration along with a working knowledge of inlet, turbomachinery, and exhaust systems experience required.
- 5+ year of experience with classified programs and survivability technologies.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

On-Site: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
