As we continue to unlock the full potential of our people and our airline, we are looking for a Demand Planning Manager to lead our demand planning team, driving alignment and development across the function. In this role, you’ll drive strategic initiatives and best practices in demand planning and forecasting, ensuring alignment to meet customer needs.
As a Demand Planning Manager (Chapter Lead- Demand Planning), you’ll focus on capability building, defining the vision for the function, and managing and developing team members. We’re looking for a passionate leader with an open mindset, ready to empower and collaborate, shape culture, and align with the function’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Demand Planning function
- Lead process transformation for Demand Planning, collaborating across Teams
- Develop, mentor and coach the team of demand planning professionals
- Lead the design and development of Demand Planning processes, standards & routines, including Demand Review & associated Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and tools across Air NZ
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of advanced digital demand planning tools and systems, ensuring alignment with the Planning Lead’s strategy
About you:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of working experience in Demand Planning and supply chain management within a complex environment, with a strong focus on S&OP
- 3-5 years of experience leading and managing teams
- Proven ability to lead change management across planning functions and diverse teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentational skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
- Demonstrated experience in the use of advanced digital planning and forecasting tools
- Strong understanding of digital planning processes, including AI-driven forecasting, predictive analytics, and machine learning applications in planning
