The HCE Director of Engineering Operations isresponsible for the continuous improvement of the HCE Engineering organizationeffectiveness. This role, reporting to the HCE Sr Director, Program Management,requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to provide strong teamleadership. This role entails expert level process knowledge of the New ProductIntroduction (NPI) from Idea to delivery and a proven ability to work withhigh-performing cross-functional Teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and implement standardized Key Process Indicators (KPIs) including leading indicators for measuring the overall engineering effectiveness and driving continuous improvements.
- Maintain overall responsibility for tracking and reporting on NPI Performance and execution via insightful data analytics using key project portfolio management tool (Accolade) and identify opportunities for growth.
- Define and drive standard Monthly Operating System (MOS) and Monthly Operational Reporting (MOR) to review monthly performance at the HCE level, SBG level and each HCE Business Unit team. You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that all program requirements are met.
- In cooperation with the HCE Finance Team, prepare and track the R&D Budget throughout the Annual Operating Planning Process (AOP) and forecast process (5+7, 8+4 forecast)
- Accountable for the successful deployment of the RMP / NPI GDM Life Cycle Management across the Engineering Organization
- Working with each of the CTO, define the Engineering Footprint simplification strategy to improve the overall Engineering effectiveness and meet the objectives defined in the Strategic Planning process (STRAP)
- Accountable for the execution of Engineering footprint simplification. Manage and track performance of each of the repositioning projects
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelors degree in engineering is preferred
- 5+ years experience with software product development life cycle introductions
- 5+ years of leadership experience in Project Management and program delivery
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others
- Proven ability to develop and lead a global team
- Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
