Day in the Life:

 

As Director of Charter Sales at Jet Access, youll lead strategic revenue generation while building a high-performing sales culture. Heres what your role encompasses:

Sales Leadership & Strategic Development

  •        Lead and develop the Charter Sales team, including Account Executives and Sales Coordinators through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  •        Define and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive trip volume, increase profit margins, and grow revenue across both fleet and off-fleet aircraft opportunities
  •        Build and maintain strategic relationships with wholesale partners, charter brokers, and high-value clients to expand spanet presence
  •        Collaborate with Director of Operations and Operations Control Team to ensure all sold trips meet operational feasibility and financial profitability standards
  •        Establish and monitor key performance metrics including quote volume, close rates, and margin performance

 

Revenue Optimization & Process Management

  •        Oversee daily quoting activities, lead allocation, and pipeline management to maximize conversion opportunities
  •        Ensure all quotes meet internal margin requirements, aircraft utilization standards, and operational feasibility criteria
  •        Develop and enforce disciplined quoting and closing processes that support consistent revenue growth
  •        Own CRM utilization, pipeline tracking, and comprehensive sales reporting through Avianis and business intelligence platforms
  •        Monitor trip profitability and provide actionable feedback to sales team and strategic planning partners

 

Team Development & Performance Management

  •        Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team sessions to support individual and collective performance growth
  •        Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching to help team members exceed targets
  •        Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for additional sales team members as business grows
  •        Foster a collaborative team environment that embodies Jet Access values while driving competitive results
  •        Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and spanet knowledge

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting

  •        Partner with Operations Control Center, Owner Services, and Mission Planning teams on trip logistics, client requests, and operational capacity planning
  •        Participate in daily operational discussions and strategic planning meetings to align sales efforts with company objectives
  •        Provide comprehensive weekly and monthly reporting on sales performance, booking trends, and margin analysis
  •        Support spaneting and brand initiatives designed to increase broker and retail spanet visibility
  •        Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Accesss continued growth and success

What will make you successful:

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in aviation, business, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of charter sales experience in Part 135 environment with both retail and wholesale focus
  • Proven track record closing high-value deals with high-net-worth individuals, corporate clients, and charter brokers
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing successful sales teams
  • Strong business acumen in pricing strategy, cost structures, and operational constraints within aviation
  • Experience with Avianis, Avinode, or similar aviation management platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Must pass background checks and pre-employment screening

Additional Qualities That Will Make You Successful:

  • Advanced degree in aviation management, business administration, or related field
  • Experience with revenue optimization and margin management in charter operations
  • Knowledge of aircraft types, capabilities, and operational limitations
  • Background in developing and implementing sales processes and CRM systems, Salesforce experience preferred
  • Experience with data analysis and business intelligence reporting tools (Power BI)
  • Understanding of Part 135 regulations and operational requirements
  • Network of industry contacts within charter brokers and high-net-worth client spanets
  • Leadership experience in mentoring and developing high-performing sales professionals
  • Track record of exceeding revenue targets and building sustainable client relationships
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to structure complex charter agreements
  • Passion for aviation and commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences

Job Summary:

 

As Director of Charter Sales at Jet Access, you will lead our charter sales team with a focus on driving revenue growth through strategic wholesale partnerships and exceptional client relationships. This dynamic leadership role combines hands-on sales execution with team development, ensuring every charter opportunity is maximized for both client satisfaction and business success. Youll collaborate closely with operations and mission planning to deliver seamless experiences while building scalable processes that support our rapid growth and spanet expansion.

 

Core Schedule:

  •       Days: Monday through Friday (In-Office)
  •       Evening/weekend hours may be required for various events and initiatives

Compensation:

  •       Base Salary of $90,000 – $120,000 (annualized), paid bi-weekly.
  •       Significant performance-based variable compensation aligned with department revenue and margin targets
  •       Total Target Cash Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000+ for high performers
  •       Uncapped earning potential - the more you sell, the more you earn!
  •       This position is classified as FLSA Exempt
