Description:This assignment is for the LM Aeronautics Field Sustainment dual-hatted role of Fleet Readiness Representative and Field Operations Regional Lead position for the US Department of the Navy. This position reports to the AFS Field Operations Director.

Some travel may be required. US Department of Defense (DoD) mandated vaccinations may be required.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

The AFS Fleet Readiness Representative/Field Operations Regional Lead will support executive level operational and resource allocation decisions for all Naval Aviation F-35 operations with added emphasis on shipboard deployments. In the Fleet Readiness Representative role he/she will provide assistance, address questions and take corrective action as necessary for the COMNAVAIRLANT staff. They will be responsible for briefing senior government officials on F-35 supply and maintenance status. In the Regional Lead role, he/she will maintain close coordination with LM site managers at DoN F-35 bases in the United States; and with program leads/managers in the management of logistics requirements for all DoN F-35 aircraft in his/her region. Management tasks include, but are not limited to, oversight of all site staffing levels, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and executing site lead meetings and conferences both virtual and in person. Monitor site safety performance and make recommendations for improvements. Monitor employee issues and up channel accordingly. Be prepared to represent the AFS Field Operations Director when necessary. Attend applicable meetings and disseminate information to sites as appropriate. Set up sustainable business rhythm for meetings/tag ups with all sites. Review site SITREPs for accuracy and relevance. Advise AFS Field Operations Director of site lead succession plans. Identify opportunities to improve operations and customer engagement. Review applicable site lead travel requests. Assist site leads in hiring process as required. Monitor SATAF and LCD activities for new site stand up timelines and AFS requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or 15 years equivalent work experience
- Minimum 15 years of aircraft ops/maintenance experience. At least 10 of those years must include fighter ops/mx experience
- Demonstrated experience working and interacting with senior management within unit operations and maintenance communities
- Full understand of Department of the Navy and Lockheed Martin Supply/Naval Aviation Maintenance and Engineering.
- Fighter aircraft maintenance and operations leadership experience
- Working knowledge of F-35 fifth generation maintenance and operations for US Navy and Marine Corps
- Understanding of managing cost and schedule using Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Full knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools,
- Must exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have an active DoD Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain F-35 Program Access

- Candidate should possess a broad military aircraft support background and advanced interpersonal and communication skills to be effective in a high tempo operational environment.
- Experience effectively communicating with supporting companies (Pratt & Whitney, BAE, NGC, etc.) and local base authorities critical for success.
- Prior military or civilian equivalent operational maintenance & logistics experience; specifically organizational and intermediate maintenance experience.
- Interim Contractor Support (ICS) experience to include retrofit management desirable. Familiarity with fifth generation aircraft logistics, information systems, technical publications approach and supportable low observable support concept beneficial

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
