The role:
Duty Manager Load Control
An exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the airline within Integrated Operations Control managing Load Control for our 24/7 Global Network. Load Control lead the delivery of BA’s load control function for all mainline and subsidiary flights. Ensuring regulatory compliance and driving punctuality performance through the line management and supervision of shift teams
What you’ll do:
- Ensure team members maintain both corporate mandatory and regulatory safety training compliance and take a leading role in assessment standards and completing annual competency assessments for team members
- Lead and manage the operation in times of disruption or where escalation of load control issues are required
- Support the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and own defined portfolio areas within department
- Monitor and manage compliance with post pushback final figures and loading discrepancies including post event reviews
- Collaborate with third-party stakeholders (Air Dispatch) to ensure the robust delivery of the Load Control operation within the IOC
- Be the recognised subject matter expert in working instructions and processes.
